A columnist, he was director of the Sacro Convento di Assisi Press Office for 27 years. He has been a contributor to L'Osservatore Romano, Avvenire and Corriere della Sera and animates radio and television programmes and columns. He has personally overseen delicate and significant humanitarian and peace missions. In January 2024 he was appointed by Pope Francis as coordinator of the World Children's Day (Gmb) and Director of Communications at St Peter's Papal Basilica in the Vatican.
