He is Professor of New Testament and Rector of the Sant Pacià University Athenaeum in Barcelona. He is co-director of the Corpus Biblicum Catalanicum and coordinator of the Bíblia Catalana Interconfessional. He was dean of the Faculty of Theology of Catalonia. In 2023 he was appointed president of the Holy See's Agency for the Evaluation and Promotion of the Quality of Ecclesiastical Universities and Faculties (AVEPRO).
