She is the representative to the United Nations of the Soka Gakkai International (SGI) as Disarmament Programme Coordinator with a focus on the abolition of nuclear weapons and the use of autonomous weapon systems (e.g. killer robots). She has worked for the development of national and international legislation promoting disarmament. It is also active in the field of peace and non-violence education, also promoting the involvement of interfaith partners.
