Archbishop, he was the primate of the Anglican Church in Burundi from 2005 to 2016.
Since 2017 he has been the representative of the Archbishop of Canterbury at the Holy See and the director of the Anglican Center of Rome.
He has a large ecumenical experience. He is a member of the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches and he is part of the Executive Committee of the ACT (Action of the Churches Together). He has worked actively for peace in Burundi, Tanzania and the Great Lakes region.
