He teaches Political Science at La Sapienza University in Rome, where he also coordinates the Master's degree in Religion and Cultural Mediation.

For the Federation of Evangelical Churches in Italy he coordinates the Programme for the reception of refugees and migrants "Mediterranean Hope" and the Study Commission on Dialogue and Integration.

In recent years, together with the Community of Sant'Egidio and the Tavola Valdese, he has collaborated in the realisation of the 'Humanitarian Corridors'.
