He served as a judge and prosecutor and collaborated on the reform of the Ministry of Justice. He was an elected member of the Superior Council of the Magistracy. He served at the Italian Embassy in New York where he worked on the protection of human rights, humanitarian law, peacebuilding and countering terrorism and criminal phenomena. Most recently, he was Secretary General of the Court of Cassation.
