He is Chairman of IPSE (Institut Prospective et Sécurité en Europe), a think tank specialising in defence and security issues, particularly from a Euro-African perspective. A specialist in European security issues and international relations, he was a political adviser to the Institut de Recherche Stratégique at the Ecole Militaire. He is the General Delegate of the Les Centristes party in charge of international relations.
