Islamic activist, journalist and Indonesian politician. She is currently director of the Wahid Institute, an Islamic research center founded by her father, Abdurrahman Wahid.

She is active in interfaith dialogue and advocacy on issues of tolerance in Indonesia.

She currently serves, among other positions, as a member of the Global Council on Faith.
