He has a long standing career in Indian politics. He was national secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party for six years. He worked as a journalist for about 20 years and is the author of numerous publications. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the India Foundation, a think tank based in New Delhi that specialises in analysing the major challenges facing the Indian political and cultural world today.
