He is imam and preacher of the al-Imam al-a'Dam mosque in Baghdad, one of the most prestigious in Iraq, built near the tomb of Abu Hanifah, founder of one of the four legal schools of Sunnism. He is the spokesman and executive director of the association of Sunni jurists.
