Frère Alois
Prior of the Community of Taizé, France
[Nördlingen, GERMANY - 1954].
In 1974 he joined the Taizé Community and in 2005, on the death of the founder, Brother Roger, he became its prior.
He coordinates the organisation of the International Meetings of Taizé that are held every year in the main cities of Europe and the world, aimed mainly at young people.
He is the author of studies and reflections on the encounter between youth and faith and on the ecumenical path after the Second Vatican Council.
